The MX Rodless Band Cylinder has a modular body for lean manufacturing. It also comes in three different bearing designs to meet a variety of application needs. The Profiled Rail design’s THK Caged Ball technology reduces friction and extends actuator life. The Solid bearing design reduces stress concentration, and the Internal bearing design is permanently lubricated for maintenance-free service. The Internal bearing design also suits vertical applications.
The cylinders have stainless steel bands that withstand pressure spikes created during high velocity cushion impact. Additionally, the piston is isolated from the applied load and remains isolated even when the carrier is subjected to deflection. This extends service life of the piston seals. The piston bracket and carrier have single piece extrusion, which reduces failure points.
