Rogers to Highlight Antenna-grade Materials Solutions at Antenna Systems 2011

By Design World Staff | August 30, 2011

Rogers Corporation (NYSE: ROG) will be showcasing its high performance, cost-effective laminate materials for antenna applications at the upcoming Antenna Systems 2011 Conference and Expo September 20-21, at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel, Nashville, TN).

Antenna Systems 2011 (www.antennasonline.com) is a leading international conference and exhibition devoted to antenna designers, manufacturers, and system integrators focusing on the latest advances in antenna systems and technology.

Visitors can stop by booth #505 and learn how to avoid the rising costs of PTFE with the use of Rogers RO4500™ Antenna Grade Laminates. As with all RO4000® High Frequency Laminates, RO4500 laminates are fully compatible with conventional FR-4 and high temperature lead free solder processing. These laminates do not require special treatment needed on traditional PTFE-based laminates for plated through hole preparation. This product series is an affordable alternative to more conventional antenna technologies and allows designers the ability to maximize the price and performance of their antennas.

RO4533™ laminates have a dielectric constant of 3.3 @ 2.5 GHz. With low loss ranging from 0.0020 to 0.0032 at 2.5 GHz and PIM performance of -154 dBc or better, these material are rigid and exhibit low bow and twist. RO4500 Series laminates are ideal for a wide range of printed-circuit antennas, including 3G and 4G wireless base stations and in broadband WiMAX systems.
