MRC‚® brand self-aligning ball bearings provide solutions for rotating machinery applications where misalignment may occur due to mounting errors or shaft deflection. They ideally suit high-speed applications requiring greater running accuracy, such as fans, blowers, and conveyor equipment, among others.
Self-alignment is enabled by a unique design featuring two rows of balls with a common sphered raceway in the outer ring. This promotes lower friction and temperature, less wear and less noise, reduced stress on bearing cages and lubricants, and extended service life.
These ball bearings are available with cylindrical or tapered bores in diameters ranging from 5mm to 130mm. Users additionally can choose from open or sealed types; various cage materials (polyamide, machined brass, or pressed steel); and bearings engineered with extended inner rings and special bore tolerances for easy mounting and dismounting.
Sealed versions feature contact seals on both sides to retain lubricant and protect against contaminants. The synthetic rubber seals can resist oil and wear and are reinforced with steel inserts for durability. Sealed bearings are supplied with a long-life lithium base grease to perform in operating temperature ranges from ‚–22‚ºF to 230‚ºF (-30‚ºC to 110‚ºC) and to promote a longer service life.
CAD drawings for all standard products can be downloaded free from www.skfusa.com/mrc and custom solutions can be developed through the MRC Made-to-Order (MTO) warranted products program.
