LED lighting and colorimetry tasks in industry, medicine and cosmetics, and also analytics applications can require special sensing tools. For these requirements and more, MAZeT GmbH developed a color sensor, signal conditioning circuit and evaluation kit.
The MTCSiCF color sensor for photometry and colorimetry integrates XYZ filters with standard spectral value function characteristics for eye-precise, absolute colorimetry. With the sensor, measurements of the color of materials, liquids or light can be made in accordance with CIE1931/DIN5033.
Used with MTCSiCF color sensor, the MCDC04 programmable signal conditioner IC increases the input signal resolution up to 16 Bit and ensures a high synchronization of the channels across the working temperature range. The analog-digital converter IC takes an electrical input and delivers a high bandwidth and I2C output.
The MTCS-INT-AB3 evaluation kit allows users to explore the capabilities of the two ICs especially for applications that include the regulation of LED light sources.
