Sherborne Sensors, Inc. announces the North American debut of its Digital Servo Inclinometer (DSIC), a tilt measurement device which offers RS-485 ASCII digital output and built-in active temperature correction, with unsurpassed total accuracy of 0.08° over a temperature range of -20 to +70°C.
Available in either single or dual axis versions, the core design of the DSIC is based upon the same field-proven technology as other Sherborne precision inclinometers, of which thousands have been successfully installed in the field. The unit’s integral precision servo mechanism exhibits almost zero hysteresis, and provides better than 0.001° resolution. During factory calibration, each DSIC is programmed with individual output characteristics over temperature, to further optimize unit accuracy. Output bandwidth ranges are configurable to 20 Hz, with additional options for customized connectors, electrical filters and 1 g bias.
With its rugged construction and unsurpassed accuracy, the DSIC is ideal for use in exceptionally demanding environments, such as military and aerospace test laboratories, mining, continuous casting steel manufacturing, civil structural health monitoring and satellite communications and aiming/control systems.
