Shurtape Technologies, LLC, a manufacturer and marketer of adhesive products, has combined its expertise in material science and adhesive formulation to develop products for the building envelope within its Engineered Solutions Group (ESG).
The new ShurGRIP UV-Cured Acrylic Adhesive is a solvent-free acrylic adhesive formulated to provide an exceptional bond to an array of different building materials.
ESG partners directly with OEMs of products for exterior wall coverings, roof decks, fenestrations, and other building envelope and enclosure applications to develop custom-engineered adhesive solutions that yield end-products for improving the building envelope’s overall performance.
One such product is the ShurGRIP, which offers primerless adhesion for optimal performance and longevity ShurGRIP UV-Cured Acrylic Adhesive is the latest formulation that’s designed to enhance the performance and longevity of materials used in the building envelope, including flashing tapes, water-resistive barriers (WRBs), sheathing, and roof underlays.
Designed to help improve the durability and energy efficiency of the buildings in which it is used, the new ShurGRIP UV-Cured Acrylic Adhesive is a solvent-free acrylic adhesive formulated to provide an exceptional bond to an array of building materials and for high performance in any climate. It features excellent cold-temperature performance, including primerless adhesion to exterior glass-faced gypsum, plywood and OSB at 0° F (-18° C), making installation easier, faster, and less susceptible to delays due to inclement weather.
