Southborough, MA — Novotechnik’s new MUP400 is a signal conditioner for position measurement with a 16-bit resolution and accuracy of ±0.01 of range +1 digit. This computer controlled signal conditioner is used to convert potentiometric input signals into standardized voltage or current signals. The signal conditioner supplies the position sensors with a constant, highly stable voltage. The MUP400 has a high sample rate of up to 5 kHz.
Users can select either 0 to 10V or 4 to 20mA outputs by setting a DIP switch.
Auto-calibration of the MUP400 is achieved by pressing two buttons on the front of the device to set offset as well as span. The span can be limited to 80% of the total input range that allows for standardized output signals to be adjusted if the maximum travel or angle of the sensor is not completely utilized. The MUP400 also has low temperature drift of 25 ppm/K.
The MUP400 is designed for a standard DIN EN 50022 mounting rail fixture and is available with electrical isolation as an option. Its dimensions are 90.5 x 79 x 25 mm and it has a working temperature range of 0 to 60 °C and a supply voltage of 18 to 30 VDC.
