SMC’s (www.smcusa.com) vacuum ejectors — the NZX, NZM and the ZA series — feature a compact design that allows them to be customized to integrate vacuum sensor switches, suction filters, and supply/release valves into the generator.
A single-stage vacuum generator, the NZX series features a modular design that enables users to select only the components required by the application. The series comes with a combination of supply/release valve unit, generator unit, suction filter unit and pressure switch unit. Available in manifold or standalone configurations, the series can be ordered even without the generator unit to be used as a filter as well as valve assembly in house vacuum systems. Its special function plates also permit the use of nitrogen for the blow off and shop air to create the vacuum.
Featuring a dual-stage nozzle design, the NZM series optimizes suction flow by 40 percent more than single-stage generators. The all-in-one vacuum generator comes complete with exhaust silencer, internal suction filter, vacuum switch as well as supply and break valve. For quick cycle times, the series has been specifically designed to deliver a strong vacuum break pressure. Aside from the manifold or standalone configurations, the series is also available in NPT threads.
Meanwhile, the ZA series of vacuum ejectors offer a compact and lightweight design that makes them ideally suited for use in pick and place operations. Its shortened tube length to pad enhances response time while its compact design allows it to be seamlessly installed on moving parts. The ZA series is offered as a single unit or in manifold configuration, with or without suction filters and pressure sensors.
