The 10 meter SFP+ copper cable assembly complies with the SFF-8431 Revision 4.1 specification. The SFP+ (Small Form-factor Pluggable) offering can go 3 to 5 m longer than passive options.
Through the use of GORE™ EYE-OPENER+® Conductor Technology and a low loss expanded PTFE cable dielectric, this cable balances the dWDP (waveform distortion penalty) and VMA loss (voltage modulation amplitude) parameters to meet the specification limits. Typical values for VMA loss are 3.95 dBe and a dWDP of 5.60 dBe. The SFF-8431 specification calls out maximum limits of 4.40 and 6.75, respectively.
