Spiiplus 3U Multi Axis Motion Controller

By Stacy Combest | August 29, 2012

ACS Motion Control’s Spiiplus 3U Multi Axis Motion Controller is a rack mounted motion controller that can be used for two, four, six and eight axes.

This motion controller meets all the requirements needed for the most demanding applications such as Flat Panel Display assembly and testing, wafers inspection and semiconductor manufacturing. With superior smooth motion, SPiiPlus 3U is easy to use and can be programmed at high speed without compromising the accuracy or throughput 20kHz sampling rate.

Spiiplus 3U Multi Axis Motion Controller supports various motion modes including jog, segmented, point-to-point, arbitrary path with PVT cubic interpolation and master-slave.

The multi-axis motion controller features high-rate interface with digital, incremental encoders which have dual loop options. It has sub-nanometer resolution using Sin-Cos encoders which have up to 65,536 multiplier factor.

Spiiplus 3U enables simultaneous host communication through RS-232, 10/100baseT Ethernet or through multiple channels. Other features include a powerful I/O handling ability with advanced PLC capabilities, Position Event Generator (PEG) with sub-microsecond delay and multi-axis motion simulator for rapid application development. It also uses a powerful ACSPL multi-tasking and programming language, advanced PIV algorithm and notch and low pas filters.

Also featured are C/C /VB Library support for Venturecom RTX, Windows 98/NT/2000/ME/XP and on-Time as well as COM Libraries for LabView, Visual Basic and more. A full suite of software tools for application development, tuning, setup and troubleshooting is also included.

Moreover, the CE marked motion controller has met EMC standards and is manufactured under the ISO 9001:2000 certified quality management system.
