The ST10-S Stepper Drive from Applied Motion Products delivers up to 10.0 A with 24 to 80 Vdc input. Control is through step and direction input or a host controller via serial communication. Motor parameters are configured automatically by self-test and auto-setup modes. Anti-resonance technology eliminates midrange instability for higher motor speeds and fuller use of available torque.
Demand Signal Smoothing reduces incidental system resonances. It also gives smoother motor performance and reduces wear on mechanical components. Torque Ripple Smoothing adjusts the current waveform to reduce low speed torque ripple for smooth motion at low motor speeds. For systems requiring low step resolutions, MicroStep Emulation provides smooth motion. Examples include retrofit systems with fixed, low value controller resolution that is difficult to change.
