Swagelok® DR Series Radial Diaphragm Valves

SOLON, OH – Offering a cleaner, more compact way to manage sterile flow streams, Swagelok‚® DR series radial diaphragm valves feature enhanced drainability and system compatibility. The single body valve design with boreline seal minimizes entrapment areas and has been tested and validated by independent third party sources for higher cleanability versus a standard weir-style valve.

The DR series diaphragm valves provide a solution for a variety of applications, including media preparation, fermentation, harvest, separation, refining, purification, and clean-in-place (CIP) and steam-in-place (SIP) systems. The valves can be manufactured in a wide range of configurations to include multiple valves and ports, and point of use valves.

The diaphragm design also allows users to further align themselves with BPE standards, which recommend diaphragm valves. A single DR valve can replace complex weir-style valve assembles, resulting in a reduced system footprint.

Swagelok DR series radial diaphragm valves are manufactured from 316L stainless steel with modified PTFE wetted single-piece diaphragms, and available with sanitary clamp or butt weld end connections. The valves are designed for system pressures up to 150 psig (10.3 bar) and operating temperatures of up to 280‚°F (137‚°C). Fives sizes from ‚½ to 2 in. are available, with a choice of pneumatic or manual actuators in plastic or aluminum.
