Trelleborg Offshore has launched Syntac® T-max, a high performance syntactic material which offers greater control over the thermoforming mold process often used in the blister packaging market.
Specifically developed to meet the distinctive needs of packaging producers, the Teflon® impregnated Syntac® T-max reduces process cycle times and final quality through its slip and release properties.
“T-max is the latest addition to our family of Syntac® products, and another of our first class solutions that are specifically developed to meet the changing wants and needs of our customers,” commented Jim Payton, Sales Manager at Trelleborg Offshore.
The new solution is constructed using next generation materials and features increased strength when compared to other epoxy syntactic systems. It provides improved clarity, eliminating swirl and chill marks, as well as uniform material distribution.
Designed for use on both roll sheet and heavy gauge thermoforming, no special tools are required to machine the Syntac® T-max and a high service temperature of 450°F (232°C) can be achieved. Manufactured in machinable blocks, sheets and rods, and are available off the shelf. Trelleborg’s Syntac® range is industry renowned for its outstanding consistency, low void content and easy, low-dust, high-speed milling.
