Exelis and U&U Engineering have won a contract worth more than $10 million to provide night vision equipment for the Taiwanese military.
Excelis says night vision tubes manufactured at its facility in Roanoke will be delivered to the government of Taiwan during the first six months of 2015.
McLean-based Excelis announced the contract on Tuesday in a news release. U&U Engineering is Excelis’ partner in Taiwan.
Excelis Night Vision and Communications Solutions president Nick Bobay says in the release that this is the company’s first contract to provide night vision equipment for the Taiwanese military.
