Just the thing for laser-marked ping pong balls
Omron demonstrated its Mx-Z2000H series fiber laser engravers by personalizing ping pong balls based on information read from attendee badges. The point of the demo was to show how the engravers could make well-formed features on curved surfaces without any distortion. The link between image processing and laser marking also took place without the need for a separate PLC. And engraving is good for more than just ping pong balls. The engraver can do shallow or deep engraving on metals, plastics, resins, or plastic films.
