TechShop has announced its goal of helping 1,000 makerspaces throughout the U.S. over the next two years.
For $4,500 individuals can receive guidance from TechShop on how to create a makerspace, as well as operate and maintain the materials inside. TechShop’s curriculum will be known as Makerspace Academy. The process could provide a viable source of income for TechShop, as it will not only collect on tuition, but will receive a share of the wealth brought in by the makerspaces it helps to create.
