MTGx and RocketSpace welcomes you to the first ever Google Glass Hackathon event. It brings together over 40 developer teams to present product ideas and solutions which explore the groundbreaking potential of Google Glass as an entertainment accessory and second screen device. The event will take place at: RocketSpace Studios, 340 Pine St. San Francisco, at 18.00 Pacific Time, on Monday 23 September 2013.
“We are proud to co-sponsor the first Glass Hackathon together with RocketSpace. Media and entertainment are constantly evolving, and MTG has taken entertainment to new levels over and over again. We have done this through constant innovation and by embracing technological change, and Google Glass is exactly the kind of product we want to explore”, said Rikard Steiber, Chief Digital Officer of MTG and head of MTGx.
“Wearable technology is an exciting new field that is only now beginning to gain traction among the development community and consumers. I am convinced that products like Google Glass will evolve to provide us with lots of opportunities to enable our viewers and customers to access, consume and relate to their favourite entertainment in totally new ways. But as to how exactly that will be done, that is what we are here to find out!”
The event offers over 40 development teams from across the world to showcase practical solutions for how Google Glass can be used to improve the user experience within TV, Movies, Music, Sports, Social and Games. Journalists and media are welcome to the event, and you will have plenty of opportunities to meet individual developers and teams, as well as MTGx and RocketSpace.
