Timing Pulleys and Belts for Minimal Backlash

GT Timing Pulleys and Belts are high torque and include four types of rugged, round tooth profile timing pulleys (2GT, 3GT, 5GT8YU). They deliver high positioning accuracy with minimal backlash.  For the 3GT, 5GT and 8YU versions, you can select construction material options that include 2017 aluminum alloy (Duralumin), 1045 carbon steel, or 1045 carbon steel with black oxide finish. The 2GT version comes in 2017 aluminum alloy (Duralumin) with 5052 aluminum alloy flange and clear anodized finish. They can also specify shaft bore machining options, such as location and configuration.

Inch-based shaft bore machining options, as well as metric, are available for many of the timing pulleys. These include: MXL, XL, L and H Types – conventional trapezoidal timing pulleys for standard torque applications; S2M, S3M, S5M and S8M Types – circular-arc timing pulleys for high torque applications; T Types – trapezoidal toothed timing pulleys for conveyance of light loads and transmissions; and AT Types – heavy duty timing pulleys offering 1.3 more allowable tension than T Types  to facilitate heavy load conveyance.
