TQK right-angle planetary gearbox is power dense

Bonfiglioli sells TQK series right-angle precision gearboxes … planetary gearboxes that complement the company’s TQ series with maximum power density and space savings. The planetary gearbox is suitable for dynamic high-speed applications and those that need reversing—particularly for dynamic positioning in packaging machine tooling … as well for flat-bed machinery for woodworking.

The TQK can also power continuous-running applications for printing and paper converting.

Gearbox comes in various ratios

The versatile TQK gearbox comes in five sizes (060, 070, 090, 130 and 160) and ratios from 6 to 200 thanks to one and two-reduction versions … with nominal torque from 30 to 800 Nm. Its housing and mono-block planetary carrier deliver high torsional stiffness to maintain faster dynamics and deliver faster stops and reverse cycles.

Full-needle roller bearings get higher torque output thanks to more contact and stiffness with reduced wear and backlash. In fact, the bearings carry higher radial and axial loads than comparable designs, and the reinforced bearing options boost performance. Its design is suited for S1 and S5 operation with a reliable catalog rating and selection procedure.

The TQK series has a standard and reduced backlash lower than 4 arc-min. and a smooth/keyed shaft. The combination of reduced backlash and high stiffness boosts the TQK’s precision.
