DES PLAINES, Illinois — Littelfuse, Inc. (Nasdaq/NMS: LFUS) offers a remote-indication fuseholder utilizing Up-LINK® technology, which reduces plant downtime and saves production facilities money.
The fuseholder offers this benefit by integrating into a facility’s existing monitoring network or PLC. When a fuse opens, a control signal is generated that can be relayed via the control network to maintenance personnel throughout the facility, indicating precisely where the fuse is located. In conjunction with a user-programmed PLC, users have the option to transmit additional information
that can further reduce downtime, including fuse type and the tools needed to replace it, and the required PPE. Each fuseholder is also equipped with a built-in indicating LED that further identifies the open fuse inside a panel.
The DIN-Rail mountable, dead-front fuseholders house Class CC and Midget style fuses, are UL-Approved, and meet all applicable IEC requirements. Up-LINK is currently available in one-, two-, and three-pole configurations, and is a simple transition for those currently using Littelfuse LPSM and LPSC-style fuseholders.
