The VM3 series snap-action switch offers a choice of single pole, single throw, or single pole double throw circuit. The switches are RoHS-compliant, UL/CUL recognized, and are available in 0.189 in. or 0.250 in. quick connect termination. Typically, the electrical life of these units is 100,000 cycles. The electrical rating is 16 A at 125 Vac, 6 A at 125 Vac and 5 A at 125 VacL/T120. The contact resistance is less than 20mΩ initially. Base, cover, and pin plunger are PBT, UL94-VO with silver alloy contacts and silver-plated copper alloy terminals. Operating and storage temperatures are from -40°C to 120°C. Common applications for these switches included leveling and safety switches in elevators, vending machines, and to detect paper jams and other faults in photocopiers. They can also be used in machinery, industrial controls, vehicles, and other places for control of electrical circuits.
