Space exploration can be one of humanity’s most inspiring achievements. We sent little machines like NASA’s Cassini out into the solar system to see sights that aren’t (yet) possible to capture in any other way. Therefore, it’s bittersweet when missions come to an end. Cassini has provided brand-new images of Saturn and its rings and moons, completing its almost 20-year long mission on Sept. 15 when the spacecraft descended into Saturn’s atmosphere.
