LM Wind Power, a branch of GE Renewable Energy, installed Wind Power blades in Germany in October. In order to do so, they needed to transport the 241-foot long blades from the factory in Castellón, Spain to the port. The process required removing lampposts and street signs along the convoy’s route in order to prevent accidents, as well as paving directly through roundabouts to avoid difficult turns. The blades will be installed at the Merkur wind farm in the North Sea.
