Mendelssohn Effektorium – Virtual orchestra for Mendelssohn-Bartholdy Museum Leipzig from WHITEvoid on Vimeo.
The Mendelssohn – Bartholdy museum in Leipzig has recently installed a virtual orchestra, Effektorium.
Featuring 13 speakers (each speaker representing a different group of instruments), the Effektorium originated in the cooperation between Bertron Schwarz Frey Studio and WHITEvoid. WHITEvoid administered the implementation.
By browsing an electronic note-pad, visitors can choose which work they wish to conduct, and by swinging the conductors stick decides upon the tempo.
