WAGO Corporation’s 750-655 AS-Interface Master Module links AS-Interface (AS-I) devices to higher-level systems. The 12mm wide, DIN-rail mount 750-655 is a cost- and space-effective alternative to stand-alone AS-I masters. 750-655 utilizes AS-I Spec 3.0 (Rev 2) software and common fieldbus protocols to connect AS-I sub-network devices, e.g., sensors and actuators, with controls. Part of the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM, 750-655 extends AS-I network capabilities, e.g., stepper control, via modular, DIN-rail mount I/O.
The 750-655 Master Module expedites commissioning via automatic slave integration. This permits rapid planning and configuration without an additional addressing unit or programming software. 750-655 connects with up to 62 AS-I V3.0 slaves for monitoring and controlling up to 248 input and 186 output data channels. The module may co-exist on an AS-I network equipped with Safety-At-Work devices for status monitoring and linking these devices to higher-level networks, e.g., eStops.
The Master Module supports Profibus, Ethernet, CANopen, Lon and DeviceNet protocols. It also enables fieldbus migration to suit changing application requirements. 750-655 supports both programmable and non-programmable buscouplers.
