The new B-Track K4x model provides the highest load rating in its class with a ball nut screw for a 4,000-lb (17,760 N) load capability in a compact package size. The units work in demanding applications where an alternative to hydraulic or air cylinders is needed or where hydraulic power sources are unavailable. Suitable applications include mobile off-highway equipment, solar panels, scissor and dump box lifts, and deck and implement lifts for mowers and tractors.
The DC-motor driven K4x incorporates all of the base features of Warner Linear’s widely used K2x series actuators including heavy wall construction, ball-detent overload clutch, double ball-bearing motors, heat-treated gears, rugged extension rod bearing support, protective coatings, and O-ring seals throughout. All models also include an integral bidirectional wrap-spring brake for load-holding capability.
Units feature a standard operating temperature range of -20˚ to 150˚ F (wider ranges are available) as well as a weather-resistant enclosure and seals (IP69K static, IP65 capable). Twelve models are offered with stroke lengths up to 24 in.
An optional EP0.4 feature provides absolute position feedback. The simple potentiometer design is a robust setup for high vibratory environments. An available EP1.x limit switch control provides end of travel positioning. The field-adjustable limit switches are mounted in a channel on the actuator cover tube accessible below a durable cover.
