Waterproof Pogo Pins from Yokowo

By Patrick Curran | April 28, 2011

Yokowo’s new custom waterproof spring loaded connectors (pogo pins) offer advanced protection for portable devices in harsh environments.  Pogo pins featuring Yokowo press fit and O-ring assemblies achieve up to IPx7 level waterproof performance, while reducing the need for additional waterproofing and guards in device docking stations and terminals.

  1. Manual & Wave solder does not apply excessive heat on housing.
  2. Pogo pin only. Terminal needs to be insert-molded.

Basic specifications for waterproof spring loaded connectors include a rated current of AC/DC 12V 2A, operating temperatures of -40ºC – + 85ºC, and a rated durability of 100K cycles. Yokowo is also able to further customize the spring loaded connector solutions to meet specific design requirements, environments and needs.

Applications for waterproof connectors include data collection terminals, data communication devices, wireless equipment, mobile GPS devices, and any other type of device docked within a charging station.

As the world’s largest spring connector manufacturer, Yokowo offers a wide range of the industry’s finest pogo pins and connectors.  The space saving and low profile spring pin designs allow for more freedom, while also minimizing the size and improving overall performance.   Both standard and custom parts are available.
