RICHMOND, VA – Weidmuller announces the expansion of their WAVE Line family of unmanaged Industrial Ethernet switches, to include Extended Temperature Range (ETR) versions. These new ETR switches have an operating temperature rating of -20°C to 60°C (-4°F to 140°F) and offer multiple fiber ports for design flexibility, making them an ideal choice for applications in extreme environments.

Weidmuller continues to expand its portfolio of network connectivity with a line of cost sensitive switches, each designed as simple plug-and-play devices. With housings of only 22.5mm or 45mm wide, the WAVE Line Family continues as one of the slimmest units available in the industry.

To provide users and engineers even more design and application flexibility, the new family includes several new port configurations comprised of both RJ45 copper and Fiber Optic connections. The following port configurations are now available with the addition to the WAVE Line ETR series: 3 RJ45 10/100 ports, 3 RJ45 10/100 & 1 SC (single-mode) fiber optic port, 5 RJ 45 10/100 ports, 6 RJ45 10/100 & 2 SC fiber optic ports, and 6 RJ45 10/100 & 2 ST fiber optic ports.

In addition to their small size and multiple port configurations that include copper and fiber, each switch supports Profinet RT, Modbus TCP, TCP/IP and EthernetIP Protocols.
