What are the do’s and don’ts of sensor commercialization?

If you have a new sensor or sensor technology that you want to establish in the marketplace, getting some advice from industry experts could prevent you from making mistakes that others have made.

The Micro, Nano and Emerging Technologies Commercialization Education Foundation (MANCEF) is an excellent source for experts in this area. MANCEF’s charter is to act as the evangelist to promote and educate the sensors and emerging technologies community in the area of commercialization.

Dr. Todd Christenson, President of the Micro, Nano and Emerging Technologies Commercialization Education Foundation (MANCEF), says, “Yearly, and for over 20 years, we have organized our Commercialization of Micro and Emerging Technologies Conference (COMS) all over the world to educate and inform the technology community on the do’s and don’ts of planning and executing the commercialization process.”

This year MANCEF will have four speakers presenting at the fourth annual Sensors Global Summit Conference.  The presentation topics and speakers are:

  • “The Process to Commercialize a Medical Device for Scale, Quality Performance and Profit” by Mr. David DiPaola, DiPaola Consulting LLC,
  • “Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) as a Source of Equity-Free Investments in Innovative Sensor Applications” by Dr. Juan Figueroa, Puerto Rico Science and Research Trust,
  • “Critical Success Factors for the Commercialization of MEMS: The 2019 MEMS Industry Report Card2019” by Mr. Roger Grace, Roger Grace Associates, and
  • “Roadmapping for Commercial Success” by Dr. Steven Walsh, University of New Mexico

The three-day conference will take place at the San Diego Hilton Resort and Spa from December 10-12, 2019. For more information on the Sensors Global Summit including the technical program, registration and travel visit www.sensorsglobalsummit.com .
