Waukegan, IL – Yaskawa Electric America, Inc. is pleased to announce that Ronald D. Zoromski has joined the company as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Vice President of Finance. He brings over 25 years of world class finance and business experience via Price Waterhouse, Motorola and Siemens Building Technologies. Ron is a CPA, and he holds an MBA from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and an accounting degree from the University of Notre Dame.
In his most recent position at Siemens Building Technologies, Ron was VP of Finance and Business Administration. Prior to that, Ron held various finance and financial management roles during his 21 year career with Motorola, Inc. Ron has significant experience in operations and global manufacturing including work with facilities in China, Costa Rica, Ireland, Singapore, Taiwan and the U.S.
“Ron has extensive knowledge of financial and strategic planning, reporting, cost and general accounting, process re-engineering, Six Sigma, cycle time reduction and systems implementation,” said Jody Kurtzhalts, President and Chief Operating Officer at Yaskawa. “He is highly customer focused and understands our team oriented, quality focused and results oriented management style. Ron’s experience includes 15 years as a business partner, responsible for businesses ranging in size from $125M to $1.2B. Ron has been involved with a successful business turnaround, a Joint Venture and several M&A transactions during his career. In addition to a strong finance background, Ron spent two years outside finance as an IT director leading a global Y2K effort and overseeing a multi-site Oracle implementation. Through his experience at Motorola, Ron has developed significant expertise in driving process improvement through the use of tools such as Six Sigma, process mapping and lean manufacturing.
