Zaber Technologies Inc. released the Miniature Linear Actuators with Built-in Controllers, as an addition to its T-LA series products which are computer-controlled linear actuators having 0.1um resolution and 60mm travel.
The T-LA Series Miniature Linear Actuators with Built-in Controllers features a control knob that can be operated manually, allowing the linear actuator to be moved at a constant speed. The product’s multiple units can be controlled and daisy-chained through a serial port without the need for an additional hardware.
Powered by standard AC\DC adaptors, Miniature Linear Actuators with Built-in Controllers is an inexpensive and convenient solution. The product comes with a pre-configured built-in controller. LEDs embedded in the product indicate the communication status and power of the actuator.
Miniature Linear Actuators uses a standard mounting interface as well as an advanced algorithm, stepper motor and precision leadscrew which enable 0.1um resolution.
T-LA actuators stay in position even when no power is applied. When not in use, the motor’s power automatically stops allowing it to stay cool. The optional knob can be utilized for smooth manual control. A little turn to the knob makes it move at 0.1um/s while a full turn reaches a maximum speed of 4mm/s.
When the knob is in manual move, the actuator constantly transfers its position to enable the controlling computer to trace it. Moreover, the T-LA Series can fit various popular stages with the aid of the standard 3/8” micrometer shank with a 3/8-32 thread.
