FOR THIS COMPANY

Pivot Point’s leadership in the field of Non-Threaded Fasteners has led to patents being awarded for a number of our solutions:

The SLIC PinTM: “SLIC” stands for “Self-Locking Implanted Cotter” – a spring loaded plunger embedded in a pin to act as an automatic cotter. One of our flagship products, this design has increased speed, efficiency, and safety across thousands of applications. U.S. PAT 6,872,039 & 7,147,420

The Bow-Tie Locking CotterTM: An intuitive design which locks on in a zero-tension position. Anti-vibratory.

The Auto-Lock Safety Pull Pin: A self-locking pull pin which features a plunger that locks in the forward position – will not disengage unless the ring is pulled. U.S. PAT 8,821,061

The Rue Ring Locking CotterTM: Surrounds the shaft and locks on. Anti-vibratory Incredibly secure.

The “U-Lock” Nylon LanyardTM: Injection molded replacement for more expensive steel tethers – snaps closed on itself for light duty tethering.

In addition to these proprietary designs, Pivot Point boasts a high level of customization across our products. Whether it’s customizing a ball lock pin for dust/grit resistance, tool activation, or tamper-proof applications, tailoring spring forces in our ball detent pins or ball plungers to provide the right product “feel”, or attaching custom stamped brackets to a wire rope cable assembly, our in-house Product Design team think outside-the-box to develop solutions for our customers.

Behind our product lines, our custom automated manufacturing equipment allows us to achieve peak efficiency and compete with less elegant overseas solutions – because price still matters.

Pivot Point is a designer and manufacturer of Non-Threaded Fasteners (i.e. clevis pins, cotter pins, quick-release pins and devices, wire rope cable assemblies, etc…) Our product line comprises fastening solutions that range from off-the-shelf fastening commodities to highly engineered custom assemblies.

The vast majority of our product is designed and manufactured in our 50,000 ft2 facility in Hustisford, WI where we perform cold forming, screw machining, and various secondary operations including high-volume drilling, wire rope cable assembly, staking/detenting, CNC machining, bending, and more. Pivot Point is a third-generation family-owned manufacturer. Learn more at www.pivotpins.com
