Optimized for use in automotive temperature probes, the NTCLE213E3…, a new series of epoxy-coated mini sensors from Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. use NTC thermistor technology and are AEC-Q200-qualified. Targeting temperature sensing for automotive engine coolant temperature (ECT) and temperature manifold absolute pressure (TMAP) sensors and HVAC systems, the sensors also have applications in consumer, commercial, and industrial appliances.
With a body diameter of less than 2.5 mm, the sensors deliver response times lower than 5s in air. Their rugged design allows makes them highly resistant to thermal shocks. The sensors are offered with resistance values at +25°C (R25) from 2.1 kΩ to 100 kΩ with tolerance down to ± 1%, and beta (B25/85) from 3511 K to 4190 K, with tolerance down to ± 0.5%.
