Clippard Instruments Laboratory Inc. (www.clippard.com) has developed a range of fittings that allow users to save time, money and space when designing productive, versatile and trouble pneumatic circuits.
Providing a simple method of connecting pneumatic components, the Clippard Push-Quick Fittings are specifically designed for use in flexible as well as stiff tubing made of urethane, nylon, polypropylene or polyethylene.
Unlike barbed fittings, Push-Quick fittings generally offer higher flows. They also allow full flow via the hose/tubing I.D. with orifice comparable to that used in barb fittings. Featuring plastic resin body, Push-Quick fittings are offered in five different sizes — 1/8”, 5/32”, 6 mm, 1/4” and 3/8” O.D. tubing. The 5/32” fittings can also be used together with 4 mm O.D. tubing while the 6 mm fittings are fitted with a green release button.
Meanwhile, Clippard also provides a comprehensive range of Push-Quick Plugs that are available in various sizes to fit 1/8” to 3/8” O.D. tubing. They feature a plastic plug, which can be used to plug the Push-Quick Fitting’s port for later use. When used as a temporary plug, the Push-Quick Plugs can be removed and inserted with tubing to connect to an added line of a circuit.
The company’s Push-Quick offerings also include various accessories such as special #10-32 threaded adapters in both female (p/n 11675) and male (p/n 11674) thread configurations and adapters.
Eliminating the need for hoses or additional fittings, the threaded adapters can be easily inserted into Push-Quick Fittings and provide either a female or male thread that can be utilized to mount Clippard product with #10-32 threaded inlet.
