High-Speed Linear Actuators

A new line of DB series actuators operates at speeds to 5.1 m/sec and does not require lubrication or maintenance under normal operating conditions. They provide travel lengths to 6 m and maintain repeatability of +/- 0.025 mm and linear accuracy of +/- 0.083 mm/m. DB series planetary gearheads provide gear geometry for planetary systems using zero helix angle gears to avoid unbalanced forces caused by helical gears. The gearheads handle input speeds to 10,000 rpm. Three different bearing types are available, including steel concave rollers riding on chrome-plated steel rails, a plastic coated needle bearing assembly, and plastic bearings running on aluminum rails.
