If you need to measure angular tilt in hazardous environments, TURCK has a solution for you. Recently released single and dual-axis inclinometers are now certified for use in Class I, Division 2, Groups A, B, C and D hazardous classified locations. Models are also available with ATEX approval for measurements within hazardous EX Zones 2 and 22.
MEMS (microelectromechanical system) technology in the inclinometer determines angular tilt in reference to gravity. To meet Class I, Division 2 requirements, TURCK added a physical protection guard that protects the sensor and is used in conjunction with the inclinometer.
