RepRap (Germany) has announced its 3DPrintBox, allowing every 3D-printer with a USB interface to connect to a network (Ethernet and WLAN) and to be managed via a web browser. The integrated storage device in the 3DPrintBox also allows printing of models without any direct computer connection. Features include:
- OS-independent access for mobile phone and tablet control.
- An optional webcam to display real-time print progresses through the browser interface.
