Looking for a means to measure liquid level that has no moving parts and immunity to temperature change? Cambridge Consultants, product development firm, may have the solution. Their Fringe Effect Level Transducer (FELT) technology can be used to monitor the level of a wide variety of fluids.
The sensor consists of three parallel low-cost, simple and customizable electrodes. With no direct contact between the electrodes and the fluid being measured, one electrode performs the measurement and the other two are reference electrodes. An electric field applied to the electrodes measures the ratio of the electric charge between the measurement and reference electrodes and determines a continuously accurate liquid level.
