A manufacturer of deep-cycle batteries has expanded its products with a line of flooded batteries (models IND) for renewable energy (RE) and backup-power applications. Intended to support large daily loads where the batteries are cycled regularly, Trojan Battery’s deep-cycle industrial versions work well in a wide range of systems, including wind and solar. Engineered with advanced technologies that deliver reliable power, the units are tested to meet International Electrotechnical Commission and Battery Council International standards. The line consists of removable 2-V cells bundled in a secondary containment case to form single, high-capacity 4 and 6-V batteries. Components of the individual cells are assembled in a rugged polypropylene housing to protect the internal plates from damage that may occur during transport and installation.Trojan Battery Co.
