Simulink and MATLAB streamline modeling and simulation tasks through mathematics. Simulink is a tool for defining mathematical models using schematic blocks. However, projects oftentimes become large and many engineers contribute to the model. This is when errors are likely to occur.
BlockImporter for Simulink imports Simulink diagrams into a program from Maplesoft, called Maple, and converts them to mathematical expressions for analysis and problem solving. Once the diagrams are converted into mathematical equations, they can be analyzed and simplified, then converted back to Simulink using another Maplesoft product, BlockBuilderT. The user can validate the mathematical integrity of the model, perform further analysis, document the system, eliminate algebraic loops, and increase Simulink execution speed.
