Candy Controls Expands Coup-Link® Couplings

By Leslie Langnau | September 19, 2011

Candy Controls has expanded its Coup-Link® offering of zero-backlash precision couplings with the introduction of Economy Disc and Curved Jaw couplings. These aggressively priced products include single and double disc servo couplings, and zero-backlash jaw couplings.

The CL18 Economy Disc Series features a low inertia, torsionally stiff design that provides identical bi-directional rotation. The CL 18 Series single and double disc couplings are available in nine sizes with a torque range of 12 inch pounds to 4,500 inch pounds. The CL18 incorporates a clamp type locking collar that accommodates a bore range from 3/16 to 1 ¾ inch.

The CL16, CL17 and CL20 Economy Curved Jaw Series feature a low cost, zero-backlash design that accommodates misalignment, dampens vibration and provides electrical isolation. Torque range is from 9.7 to 7,600 inch pounds with a bore range from 1/8 to over 2 inches.

Coup-Link® provides dimensional drop-ins for a number of competitors at a cost savings of up to 40%. Inch, metric and mixed bores are available. The Economy Series couplings compliment Candy’s standard line of motion couplings which are stocked and machined in Niles, Illinois.
