VISION 2 SHOT Norstat, Inc. addresses the need for safeguarding high risk industrial applications with the ReeR Vision, category 2 light curtain. The Vision is a suitable solution for the protection of personnel working in applications such as palletizing, wrapping, robotic cells, or assembly lines where the safety of the operator is paramount.

Features include easy connection and installation, self-monitoring of the safety circuits, external device monitoring (X models), and Start / Restart interlock function. Master/Slave models are available which allow for the cascading of multiple units. Also available is a muting function version with built-in muting crossed beam photoelectric sensors and a watertight enclosure model made of transparent polycarbonate with a valve to drain humidity and avoid condensation making it a good solution for wash down systems, Industrial applications with higher exposure to water sprays and jets or outdoor applications.

Vision light curtains are safety level type 2 / Cat 2 according to IEC and EN standards, have 2 PNP auto controlled safety outputs for short circuit, overload and polarity reversal protection and LED’s for status and diagnostics. Vision light curtains may be connected to a dedicated safety interface, directly to contactors actuated and controlled by the light curtain, to a ReeR MOSAIC safety module or to any other suitable commercial safety module or safety PLC.
