We will explore helical geometry fluid dynamics as compared to legacy heat exchanger technology. The main points will be the lack of dead zones within the fluid path and the improved heat transfer rate as compared to legacy technologies. On-the-job performance is improved by removing the dead zones which can be the source of low flow and higher tube temperatures, which can increase the rate of fouling and result in coking. This improvement will reduce the number of maintenance intervals needed to keep the heat exchanger clean.
Attendees of this webinar will learn about:
- Comparing and contrasting continuous helical flow technology with segmental baffles
- Dead zone concepts and how they are detrimental in fluid heating
- The size reduction that can be achieved with improved heat transfer rates
