dSPACE (Wixom, MI) has announced that the Embedded PC extension for the compact prototyping system MicroAutoBox II is now available in a new, more powerful variant with an Intel Core i7 processor. While the real-time component of a control system under development is calculated on the real-time processor of the MicroAutoBox II, the non-real-time component is processed on the Embedded PC equipped with the i7. MicroAutoBox II with Embedded PC is a combined system that is compact and designed for in-vehicle use. Features include:
- 8 GB of DDR3 RAM.
- 128 GB of flash memory.
- The ability to be used with Windows 7 or an Ubuntu/Linux operating system.
