Mexico mobile operators, Telefónica Mexico, and mobile IT cloud solution provider, ItsOn Inc., announced the launch of a unique suite of personalized wireless services that will be marketed via Telefónica’s Movistar brand and channels.
The new service will empower customers to buy and manage mobile plans directly from their smartphones. Telefónica Mexico will be the first Latin American mobile operator to offer ItsOn-powered, end-to-end digital services.
Microsemi Corporation, a provider of semiconductor and system solutions, announced the availability of its PDS-104GO outdoor Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) switch, expanding the company’s PoE product offering to enable the connection of four powered devices to a network. The switch delivers 60 watts (W) of power per device over standard Ethernet cabling to outdoor devices such as wireless local-area network access points (WLAN), Internet protocol (IP) cameras, point-to-point microwave radio and small cells—and is ideal for outdoor deployments in several industries including education, transportation, and government.
Microsemi will be showcasing the device in Europe at the Cisco Live event in Berlin Feb. 15-18 and in the U.S. at ISC West in Las Vegas April 5-8.
