Faster data transfer speeds, increased power transmission and smaller PCB footprints are key advantages of the advanced new series of USB Type ”C” Plugs and Sockets from Keystone Electronics Corp.

USB-C technology is the latest development in connectivity offering reduced sizes and greater durability, defining it as small enough to properly function with the smallest peripheral devices. Cables are designed with no orientation, it can be plugged in backwards and upside down and still function for worry-free connections.

KeystoneThese new USB3.1, Type “C” interconnects, possessing the smallest footprints of all USBs, deliver significant PCB real estate reductions to accommodate a variety of devices. They support USB-1 standards with10Gbps top speed and up to 20V (100W), 3Amp Output. Its bi-directional power, makes them ideal for use with future high tech devices as HD video, data and charging port without separate power adapters.

For circuit board socket use, USB-C receptacle, (Cat. No. 953) offers a hybrid mount configuration aiding SMT contact efficiency with strong, durable solder connections to PCBs with THM devices. For standard or custom USB-C cable assemblies, a Type “C” plug kit (Cat. No. 954) supplied unassembled with a metal housing ensuring excellent strain relief, is also available. All USB-C products are available through Keystone’s global distribution network.
