PC-DMIS 2010 is the latest version of Hexagon Metrology’s CAD-based metrology products. The core product is PC-DMIS CMM which is used primarily on automated coordinate measuring machines (MMs). It offers new functional and productivity improvements. One of them helps you select animation path lines so you can either insert a safety move at the point of selection or move to the command location in your part program.
New PC-DMIS 2010 software features for non-contact sensors include updated visualization of parameters for programming laser-beamed 3D geometric figures.
The product offers improved support for the new geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) ANSI Y14.5 2009. New Comment functionality allows you to display pictures, videos, or text to help operators in executing a measurement routine.
Other new measurement capabilities include total integration with the supported non-contact 3D laser line sensors. New features for non contact sensors include updated visualization of all parameters for programming laser-based 3D geometric figures, as well as easy re-execution of laser based measurement routines. PC-DMIS 2010 can handle large point clouds that are commonly gathered with these types of sensors.
