New Family of Programmable Electronic Controllers/Drivers

By Design World Staff | November 19, 2007

New EVDR Series controllers are low-cost, high performance, rugged, compact, and easily-programmable to optimize hydraulically-actuated machine and vehicle control functions.

The EVDR1 is a plug-in style general-purpose controller for use with any HydraForce proportional valve with a single coil or dual coils having the molded-in Deutsch® DT04-2P electrical connectors. The plug-in style EFDR1 is specifically designed for controlling and optimizing temperature-activated electro-hydraulic fan drive operation. The ETDR1, also a plug-in style unit, is designed to regulate and optimize clutch engagement in transmission and PTO applications.

The EVDR4—10 controllers are housed in IP67-rated box enclosures for separate mounting. Both the EVDR4 and the EVDR5 can control up to four proportional valves plus one on/off valve. The EVDR4 has RS232 communication capability while the EVDR5 utilizes J1939 CAN communications.

The EVDR6, EVDR9 and EVDR10 are Multi-I/O units with J1939 CAN network communications.

The EVDR6 can control up to six proportional or on/off valves. The EVDR9 is a multi-output, slave module for up to nine valves, while the EVDR10 accepts up to ten analog or digital inputs. Both the EVDR9 and EVDR10 can be connected to a J1939 Bus; CANopen is available upon request.
