Steute Xtreme (Ridgefield, CT) has introduced a new line of ATEX- IECEx certified inductive sensors designed for use in Zone 0 and 20 explosive atmospheres and extreme environments. Units are available in M8, M12, M18 and M30 sizes with a cable or plug-in connector. Models are also available with IP68K or IP69K ratings and for temperature of -40° to +120°C.
Steute Xtreme sensors are especially developed for use in extreme environments, e.g. high or low temperatures, explosive zones, very hygienic areas for foodstuffs or very dirty production halls. Examples from our comprehensive range include safety sensors in protection class IP 69K, vibration-resistant Hall sensors, immersion-resistant foot switches in protection class IP 68, robust emergency pull-wire switches for underground mining applications and salt fog-resistant position switches in protection class IP 66.
