Sequans-powered LTE devices built by Datang Mobile and DareGlobal will launch commercially in Q2.
France – 4G chipmaker Sequans Communications [NYSE: SQNS] has announced that two of its device manufacturing partners in China, Datang Mobile and DareGlobal, have been awarded contracts to provide Sequans-powered TD-LTE end user devices to China Telecom for the operator’s commercial launch of TD-LTE service beginning in Q2. Both devices are single-mode TD-LTE CPE units that will provide China Telecom customers with internet access at 4G speed. Datang Mobile is one of China’s leading TDD system and equipment suppliers, and DareGlobal is a provider of broadband mobile terminals.

The new Datang Mobile and DareGlobal CPEs are based on Sequans’ Mont Blanc LTE Platform. Mont Blanc comprises Sequans’ baseband SOC with integrated network and application CPU, an LTE-optimized transceiver, a comprehensive software package, and reference designs. Mont Blanc is a member of Sequans’ StreamrichLTE family of products for high performance, feature-rich LTE devices.
